When creativity and love come together...

Over a year ago now I was honoured to be asked by a friend to make her engagement cake after she'd seen my dabbles in cake making on my social media. My first though was OMG I'm not a professional - what if I screw it up?! But she had the clam trust in me that it would all work out ok - which luckily it did!

Fast forward to their wedding over the weekend where she asked me to recreate the cake but also do her wedding floristry as well. Again those nerves set in as I wanted to make sure everything was perfect for her on her special day. With a lot of help from Pinterest and YouTube I set about making her flowers and cake.

I must say as I started and the nerves wore off, I felt so excited to be so creative and create something so beautiful. The bride Hayley had given me creative licence with a  few photos and requests, I was able to create a bright, spring, eclectic bunch to complement the beautiful venue.

the cake was also well placed in the rustic Brunswick warehouse with it's exposed brick mirroring the exposed cake - a match made in heaven!

I will be forever thankful for this opportunity and am only more inspired and excited to see what other creations I can come up with in the future!

If you have any stories of your own creative encounters or tips and tricks I'd love to hear them!

love as always and until next time, E x
